Sample Journey Parent Letter: Between Earth and Sky

I know many of you like to send out a message to parents to let them know what the girls will be working on. This is the letter that I sent out for Between Earth and Sky:


Hello, Girl Scout Parents!

In our next meeting, we will begin going through the Daisy Journey called "Between Earth and Sky"

In this journey for kindergarteners and first grade Girl Scout Daisies will join their flower friends (or replace with leaders if not using the stories) for an exciting trip around the community to learn not only how we can love our planet but how we can care for it and our more local community!



As we travel the country living the values of the Girl Scout Law, the girls and I will enjoy what's local and learn why that's important. They experience what is great about what grows near them, and they learn how their own special skills make the world a better place. If you have any local resources (or awesome skills) having to do with gardening, caring for trees, recycling, or connections at the zoo, nature center etc. in our area please let me know!

This is a really fun Journey with lot's to do!  

I can't wait to get started with them!
